What we collect, and what we do not

Your survey data never leaves your computer

The EOMeasy application runs entirely on your own machine. Surfaces, point clouds, boundaries, volumes and reports are read and written locally, and are never uploaded to us or to anyone else.

The application contains no analytics and no telemetry of any kind. It contacts us only to activate or check your licence key, which sends the key and a machine identifier and nothing else, and to check for a newer version at startup, which sends no personal data and no survey data. Nothing else ever leaves your machine.

This website

We use Google Analytics 4 on our public pages to understand how many people visit, which pages they read, and which buttons they use. It sets cookies in your browser and records an approximate location derived from your IP address. We do not use it to identify you personally, and we do not sell or share the data.

If you would rather not be counted, Google publishes a browser opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, and most browsers can block analytics cookies directly.

Video

The getting-started help page can play a walkthrough video hosted on YouTube. Nothing loads from YouTube until you press play, and we use youtube-nocookie.com, so Google sets nothing on your browser unless you choose to watch. The written steps on that page cover the same ground if you would rather not.

When you start a trial or buy a licence

The trial form collects your name, email address, company, country and the survey package you use. We use those to issue your licence key, to send you a short series of emails about setting the software up, and to answer you if you reply.

Purchases are processed by Stripe, which handles your card details directly. We never see or store your card number.

Email

Our setup and product emails are sent through Brevo. Every one of them has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing stops them immediately.

Licence keys, receipts and invoices are separate. Those are sent because you asked for a licence, so unsubscribing from our emails never stops you receiving your own key.
